Cop arrested for illegal drugs in Isabela

PO3 Serafin Pablo was arrested after a text message read from a drug suspect's cellphone indicated that the cop would buy shabu from him.

A police officer has been arrested by his fellow cops in Isabela province for illegal drugs.

Police were tipped off about Police Officer (PO) 3 Serafin Pablo's alleged illegal activities after reading a text message in a drug suspect's cellphone that Pablo would buy shabu from him.

An entrapment operation was undertaken and Pablo was arrested last Friday.

A sachet of suspected shabu was confiscated from him.

Pablo is assigned at the Santiago City Police Office's clearance desk.

Chief Inspector Redentor Gumaru said they knew that Pablo was using illegal drugs, although his recent drug test came up negative.

Neil Medina, the alleged shabu pusher of Pablo, was also arrested in a separate buy-bust operation.
